Let me add my voice to the Kuddos surrounding the new Bill Toms and Hard Rain live cd. Wow!!! My only regret is that it's only one disc. Really amazing all around. A formal review should follow soon.
This Friday, Dr. Z presents Rising Regina at PD's Pub. This band opened for the Weathered Road at their CD release party and really blew me away. I think that you will like them too. I first saw them around 8 years ago in a Christian band and lost track of them. Plus they're from Armstrong County (first show in Rural Valley!!!)
They're brothers and sisters. I think siblings sound differnt. Not sure.

They are joined by a band I'me trying without hearing - Brewers Row! I like what I heard online. check em out at www.brewersrow.com. love the piano and vocals. very cool sound. May be Waitsian, perhaps more upbeat. More rootsie. Some Johnny Cash sound. You'll like them if you're reading this.
